Preparations are in full swing for the mega 'Howdy, Modi' event at the NRG Stadium in Houston in the United States where Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be addressing the Indian diaspora, with US President Donald Trump joining him in a rare gesture.

The 'Howdy, Modi' event has been organised by the Texas India Forum (TIF). The NRG Stadium gates will open at 4:30 pm IST (India time) to accommodate and seat 50,000 people by 7:30 pm IST (9 am in the US). The stadium gates will open three hours before the beginning of the 'Howdy, Modi' event, after which the cultural programme will begin. 

The cultural programme will begin around 8:30 pm-8:45 pm IST and continue for 90 minutes till around 11:30 pm IST. The three-hour show will see artistes present Indian classical and folk songs and dances, among other numbers.
